Assassin’s Creed is an action-adventure open-world stealth series of video games set in a medieval setting. Every game in this series follows a protagonist named Desmond Miles, who can use his genetic memories to experience the lives of many individuals and families related to a historical event.

Assassin’s Creed – (13, November 2007)
In the first Assassin’s Creed game, the protagonist is named Altaïr ibn-La’Ahad, a member of the Order of Assassins during the Third Crusade. He was initially sent to assassinate Al Mualim, Grand Master of the Order at Masyaf, in 1189 due to him wanting peace with Saladin and not wanting to fight for land any longer.
However, he soon discovered that Al Mualim was plotting against King Richard I of England and used him as a pawn in his schemes for peace.
Assassin’s Creed II – (17, November 2009)
Assassin’s Creed II is based upon story mode and is a multiplayer video game. The story of the Assassin’s Creed II game revolves around Ezio Auditore da Firenze, a fictional Italian nobleman in the Renaissance era who takes revenge for his family against those responsible for their murders from the Medieval era.
Moreover, Assassin’s Creed II is both a single-player and multiplayer video game, which is set in the Renaissance era in Italy and follows the adventures of a fictional Italian nobleman named Ezio Auditore da Firenze.
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood – (November 16, 2010)
In Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, players have a larger world to explore where the city of Rome can be explored through the rooftops, as well as the catacombs, sewers, and dungeons. Players can now fight with a sword and shield on foot or horseback.
In addition to that, they can also engage in swordplay aboard moving vehicles, such as carriages or carts. Other than that, players have a more versatile combat system with multiple weapon types and longer-reaching attacks to take down more enemies at once. Its multiplayer modes include Co-op mode, where players complete missions throughout Rome that they have not completed alone.
Assassin’s Creed : Revelations – (November 15, 2011)
In Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, the story follows two characters that are Ezio Auditore da Firenze and Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad – as they continue to uncover secrets from their pasts. However, there are still many unanswered questions to be discovered before they can move on with their lives.
Furthermore, players will have access to two more different protagonists named Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who has now retired from being an assassin, and Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad who has returned home after his exile and will be able to explore new locations in Constantinople.
Assassin’s Creed III – (October 30, 2012)
Assassin’s Creed III is another action-adventure game with stealth and tactical elements. The game features a new game engine called AnvilNext. It is a thrilling game that brings the series to life through impressive graphics, action-packed combat, and a captivating story.
In Assassin’s Creed III, the player can take part in the American Revolution from the perspective of a young, rebellious Connor – who believes in freedom and justice. Moreover, players can choose to either side with the Patriots or Royalists.
In addition to his Native American heritage, Connor also possesses skills from his father’s British background that gives him an advantage when it comes to combat encounters. So players will have complete control over Connor’s actions as he faces off against his enemies in single-player and multiplayer modes.
Furthermore, Assassin’s Creed III offers players even more choices by adding a branching mission system that grants them ultimate control over their gaming experience.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – (October 29, 2013)
This game is the sixth major installment in the Assassin’s Creed series and acts as a sequel to 2012’s Assassin’s Creed III.
Moreover, the game features three main cities: Kingston, Havana, and Nassau. The story takes place in an open world environment, with the world map consisting of various types of terrain that impact how the player can interact with it.

Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is the first game in the series that focuses on a character other than Desmond Miles. It is set during the Seven Years’ War, where players control Shay Patrick Cormac, an assassin with templar heritage.
Moreover, this game features most of its gameplay elements from previous installments of Assassin’s Creed games, including freerunning, assassinations, and sea-based exploration.
Other than that, players are introduced to the character through a prologue sequence set in 1758 on his home island of Ireland.
The narrative then continues to follow Cormac as he joins the British Navy and becomes an assassin.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity – (November 11, 2014)
In the Assassin’s Creed: Unity game, there are two protagonist characters, Arno and Elise, who have their side quests for the player to explore.
It is an action-adventure video game set in the French Revolution and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Ubisoft Uplay on October 28th, 2014. It also contains a lot of new features that have not been seen in previous games. Here are some of them that are worth mentioning.
A new co-op multiplayer mode called “Wolfpack” has been added to the game. This mode allows players to take control of one of 9 characters and play with up to 3 other players during missions or quests. You can also continue playing cooperatively even after completing the main story campaign if you want to keep assassinating people together!
Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate – (October 23, 2015)
Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate was released on October 23, 2015, and is set in Victorian-era England. The game features new gameplay elements such as horse-drawn carriages, trains, and two playable characters, Jacob Frye and his twin sister Evie Frye.
The game takes place in London, which you can explore through the districts of Whitechapel, Westminster, Lambeth, Clerkenwell, and Camden. A new feature called “Street Lamps” is available where you can stand on top of them to reach higher places or get to different sections of the map quickly. Added are horse-drawn, carriages which are used for transportation throughout the city.
Assassin’s Creed: Origins – (October 7, 2017)
Assassin’s Creed: Origins is a video game about Bayek, a man who becomes an assassin to take revenge on those who stole everything from him. The game follows the story of Bayek and his wife Aya as they fight to protect their son Khemi and their home.
Bayek’s storyline takes place in Ancient Egypt, during the period spanning from 48 BCE to 30 BCE. This period is known as the Hellenistic Period, which is characterized by the spread of Greek culture in neighbouring countries with an emphasis on science and philosophy.
The game features returning elements from previous games such as free-running, combat, stealth, and parkour. It will also have new features, including a revamped combat system, an RPG-style gear system that reflects Bayek’s progression with different weapons throughout time.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey – (October 5, 2018)
The Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey game features first-person, action-adventure gameplay. The player will be able to explore ancient Greece and Egypt as they play as a mercenary named Kassandra or Alexios. They will also have access to their ship that can be upgraded with tonnes of different weapons and items that they can use in the game.
In Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, players can choose between a male or female protagonist. This is something new for the Assassin’s Creed games, and it should be fun to see how the story changes depending on which character you choose.
Developers have also included branching dialogues that will lead the player through different story outcomes depending on what options are chosen within these conversations, giving them greater replayability potential for the game as well as increasing.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – (November 10, 2020)
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is a new game that takes place in the Norse world and will be set during Ragnarok, the mythological Norse apocalypse. This is when Loki comes back to earth, seeking power for his army of giants, Jötnar, and undead warriors.
The game features two playable characters – an Assassin and Viking warrior who is able to switch between them at any time. The Viking can use melee weapons, while the Assassin uses stealth and ranged weapons.
This is a game about life and death. The player will need to decide what to do with the lives they take. It is an open-ended world, so the player can decide how their story will unfold.
